The Psithur Project

An Anthology of Fiction+Sound

Psithurism
refers to the rustling or gentle whispering of leaves as the wind blows through the trees.

If you ran your finger along a line of Dostoevski,Plath, or Roth, how would it sound?
Would it sing?
Would it rasp?
Would it take you on a deluge of sonic tumbling?

Pynewood Press is seeking 3-5 writers to contribute a piece of short fiction (up to 2,000 words) for an anthology, paired with a musician's interpretation of the movement, shape and rhythm of the story.

Accompanying each story will be a QR code linking the reader to a soundscape composed specifically for the story, to be listened to simultaneously.

We are looking for unconventional, experimental stories, prose or poetry from any genre.
